FAQs

Why choose Better Bodies?

Working with a personal trainer is one of the best ways to stay motivated and accomplish your fitness goals. All of our trainers have continuing education in functional movement coaching, which is the fundamental philosophy at our studio. Functional training works directly with the mind-body connection to improve mobility, stability, flexibility and balance to make all the activities in your daily life easier and more enjoyable. We are proud of our professional atmosphere and our knowledgeable, nationally certified staff, and we look forward to helping you accomplish your fitness goals.

The Better Bodies staff is passionate about long-term health and wellness, and most of our clients are 40-65 years of age. This means you will receive the support you need in a comfortable, nurturing setting. We differ from most gyms in that we offer support for any sport or activity you enjoy or would like to enjoy in your life. Our customized programs are designed to increase your energy and keep you doing the things you love.

How much does it cost?

Because we customize each plan to the individual, monthly costs vary depending upon your frequency and commitment. Rates generally start at $30-$45 per half-hour session, but we offer a variety of packages to meet your needs. We also offer a special introductory rate for you to try our studio to see if Better Bodies is the right fit for you. We encourage you to set up an appointment to meet our staff, tour the studio, and discuss your fitness goals and budget.

What kind of commitment?

Your fitness results are a direct reflection of the effort you give. We recommend at least two sessions per week with your personal trainer. In addition, we recommend that you commit to additional workouts by yourself or participate in other sports activities during the week. Once we understand your fitness goals and lifestyle, we will put together a customized plan specifically for you.

What’s the process/what can I expect?

The first step is scheduling an appointment for a free consultation where you will meet with a Better Bodies personal trainer to discuss your goals. You can learn more about our trainers on the staff page. If you wish to meet with a specific trainer, please let us know when you schedule your appointment. You may schedule an appointment by calling (520) 318-3488 or through the contact form on this site.

After the initial consultation, you may then sign up for our special introductory offer to try Better Bodies for a month at a significantly reduced rate. At your initial training session, your Better Bodies personal trainer will give you a full fitness assessment including body mass index, waist circumference, and resting heart rate. These stats will help you see how far you’ve progressed as you continue training.

After the trial period, you will meet with your trainer to discuss your progress, goals, and availability in order for him or her to develop a personalized program to that fits your budget and your fitness needs.
